Sandy Stones - Production DirectorSandy Stones’ energy and enthusiasm are hard to beat! Sandy has performed, taught theatre and directed numerous productions over the past 30 years. Her passion of directing began as a youth as she accompanied her father to work at CBS where he was a sound engineer and camera man on The Carol Burnett Show, Price Is Right, and many other television productions. She began directing and performing at the age of 19 and went on to graduate from ASU as well as the Southwest Shakespeare Conservatory. As an artistic director for Gilbert Fine Arts Association she ran their Theatrical Academy for Youth, directed their large main-stage musical productions and was instrumental in founding the Gilbert Youth Theater.
Sandy was a freelance director for many years until she found her niche working at Mesa High School. She teaches theatre arts, directs the main stage productions, co-directs the Speech and Debate team, runs Student Council and she is having a blast! Over the past four years, the plays, musicals, musical numbers and one-acts Mesa High has performed have received Superior Ratings at Regional and State Competitions. The most important part of Sandy’s life is her extremely patient and loving family who puts up with all of her endless endeavors! She wouldn’t be able to accomplish all that she does without their love and support. |
